The Sarnia Muslim Association hosted the Culture Connection for the Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) council for the month of June. LIP council members visited with the SMA Outreach Committee on Thursday, June 20, 2013. The visit ran from 10 am till 11:30 am. The program included a poster session about Islam, Muslim Culture, Islamic Heritage and Contributions to Science and Society. It also included a PowerPoint presentation (Islam & Muslims in Sarnia), a tour of the prayer area, prayer demonstrations, and a Q (Question) & A (Answer) period.
